Bought a bag of these for splicing in clothesline wire to damaged wires. Works perfectly and will outlast me. Great for the un-adjusted end of the wires where you don't use a turnbuckle. A rope thimble is recommended. They got'em here.

When using these and putting on cable, tightened with a 1/4 drive ratchet holding the head, not the handle and had 2 U-bolts twist off. 1 was made wrong and other one broke in middle of threads. Makes me wonder how safe these will be.

these are a piece of junk. while it says 3/16, the main section does not have the clearance required. instead of a taper to accommodate the 3/16 opening, theses have a nearly vertical wall blocking the insertion of the return cable or a second cable. you have to file the opening to get the job done. save your and look carefully on the pictures. hihalf
